Limited 1-Year Warranty – Surge Protector:
We stand behind the quality of workmanship of our surge protectors and offer a limited 1-year limited warranty for any faults or defects that may arise during normal use. If your surge protector is found to be faulty within one year from date of purchase, we will repair or replace the device free of charge.
Please note that while our surge protectors are designed to provide reliable protection against power surges, we cannot guarantee absolute protection in all surge events. Surges are common occurrences that can vary in intensity and their effects on electrical devices can be unpredictable. Therefore, in the event of a surge damaging your connected devices, our warranty does not cover any resulting damages.
We strongly recommend using our surge protectors as an additional layer of protection for your valuable electronic equipment and following the manufacturer’s guidelines for proper usage. If you have any questions or concerns about surge protectors or their warranty, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team.
Indemnity for the Surge Protection Device
By using our surge protection device (SPD), the user acknowledges and agrees to the following indemnity clause:
The user understands that the effectiveness of surge protection devices can vary depending on various factors, including the specific electrical system, the nature and intensity of the surge event, and other external circumstances. While our surge protection device is designed to provide reliable protection against power surges, the company cannot guarantee absolute protection in all surge events.
The user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold the company, its employees, officers, and agents harmless from any claims, demands, suits, or actions, including associated costs and legal fees, arising out of or relating to the use of the surge protection device.
The user acknowledges that the company has provided guidelines and recommendations for the proper installation and usage of the surge protection device. It is the user’s responsibility to follow these guidelines and ensure the device is installed correctly by qualified professionals, adhering to applicable electrical codes and regulations.
The user releases the company from any liability, whether direct or indirect, for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the use or performance of the surge protection device, including but not limited to any damages to connected devices or equipment.
This indemnity clause is binding and shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnity against damage during Installation of the Surge Protector
By agreeing to the installation of the surge protector using one of our preferred installers, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following indemnity clause:
The client understands that the installation of the surge protector involved contracting the services of electricians or third-party professionals. Efficient Automation shall not be held liable for any issues, damages, or losses arising from the work performed by these contracted electricians. The client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold Efficient Automation, its employees, officers, and agents harmless from any claims, demands, suits, or actions including associated costs and legal fees, arising out of or relating the work performed by these electricians.
The client acknowledges that Efficient Automation will make reasonable efforts to ensure the competence and professionalism of the contracted electricians. However, Efficient Automation cannot guarantee or be held responsible for any acts, errors, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of these third-party electricians.
It is the client’s responsibility to verify the qualifications and credentials of any electricians contracted by the company. The client agrees to communicate any concerns or issues directly with the contracted electricians and seek resolution from them without involving Efficient Automation.
By proceeding with the installation of the surge protector, the client releases Efficient Automation from any liability, whether direct or indirect, for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the work performed by the contracted electricians.
The indemnity clauses is binding and shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
